Socalslew Racing Productions has been honored with a request by the International SIM Equinic's Committee, to create an association for independent SIM trainers to utilize as an avenue to gain entrance into the Equinics races of 2002.
This brotherhood of independent trainers will race under the banner of:
Team Independent Unity
The only requirements necessary to join Team Independent Unity, are:
1. Your stable must not have any current track residency or affiliation.
2. When representing Team Independent Unity, you must (as difficult as this may be for some) adhere to the Equinics standards and rules. This simply means...While kickin' ass on the track, act mature, professional, and be on your best behavior.
Interested trainers are welcome to nominate their horses to any of the 30 races making up this year's Equinics event. A selection committee will be assembled to select 1 starter and 1 alternate from all nominations in each race. You horse(s) may be nominated to more than 1 race, but please remember that this event is for the SIM's 'Best Of The Best', and to make our lives easier, as well as to avoid dissapointment for yourself, please only nominate horses worthy of this world class event.
Nominations are now open, and will continue to be received through Saturday, December 15th. Starters and alternates will be announced on Saturday, December 22nd. This will give trainers 6 racing weeks leading up to the February 9th event date to prepare your horses.

Selection criteria will be based primarily upon recent form and class level of competition. Horse rankings will not be taken into consideration, as many highly ranked horses have earned their positions through performances long ago, yet fail to be able to compete at that same level today.
All Team Independent Unity starters that finish in the money, will be awarded with sponsored races, credits, and other awards. Also.... We will draw 1 name from all nominating stables each week leading up to the starting selections. These winners will receive sponsored races, or credit awards.

In the body of your email, please include the following:
1. Race # (This is an internal use race #, and not the official race number that will be assigned to the race once carded)
2. Horse Name
3. Horse ID#
4. Stable Name
